Project Completion and Collaboration:

This project reached its culmination in 2018 through a collaborative effort with JSTL Construction Ltd and Sitka Whistler Construction Ltd.

Architectural Highlights:

The distinctive feature of this residence is the expansive exposed timber roof, strategically designed to support wide openings for large windows and patio doors. These openings face south, not only maximizing solar gain but also offering breathtaking views of Blackcomb Mountain.

Innovative Construction Techniques:

The foundation utilizes Insulated Concrete Form (ICF), complemented by Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) for the walls and roofs. This combination ensures exceptional insulation and airtightness, contributing to the overall efficiency of the house.

Premium Windows:

Marvin Windows Integrity All Ultrex were chosen for their quality and performance, adding a touch of excellence to the design.

Comfortable Living Spaces:

The house features a hydronic radiant floor system throughout, providing a consistent and comfortable heating solution.

Durable Roofing:

A standing seam metal roof not only enhances durability but also adds a modern aesthetic to the architectural composition.

Exterior Finishes:

  • Cedar siding and soffit elegantly grace the upper level, offering a warm and natural aesthetic.

  • Stucco parging and cement board siding on the main level contribute to a contemporary and low-maintenance exterior.
